Cooking

Since it was cold and rainy mom and I thought we'd better do some baking. Besides we had this nice pile of fresh apples just begging to be a pie. So 2 apple pies, 1 batch of chocolate cupcakes and 1 batch of peanut butter cookies I think we did pretty well.

This week I need to figure out something starting with "B" to take for show n tell...

fall frollicking!

Mom is so excited about it being fall that it has been very difficult for Sloan and I to get her to sit down & write a blog. This weekend we had a great time hanging out on saturday at the Yates Cider Mill. It was fun, we got to hang out with Sloan's friend Genevieve and her mom and Mom and Dad's friends Mr. Gary (or the Bratzel as Sloan calls him) and Mr. Russ and Mr. Trevor. (Who did a wonderful job corralling both my brother and his friend. actually they all did).

Lots of fun with donuts and cider and there was this band wearing lots of fur and with instruments... loud but cool.

Fife and drum core, that's what Evie means by the lots of fur comment. Mom got some fun video but she needs to finalize the disk. Genevieve and I had lots of fun running up and down the river path.

But mostly we enjoyed the donuts!

Time for Tea?

Grandma and Jubba stopped by today and gave me a wonderful new table.
I have been testing it out with tea parties. Anthony and Princess have been having a good time having tea with me.

We had a lovely walk this afternoon (mom needed to take care of some friends cats) so off we went for a nice walk and a stop at the playground for a good workout.

A is for Apple

Apples and donuts and Cider -my Class went on a field trip to the Spicer's Orchard mill. I got to play on the new pipe tunnels and the large pile of dirt (might sound weird to you grown ups but the kids love it).

Since mom had Evie with her she couldn't go on the hayride with me so I had to trust she'd be okay without me. Mister Bob made sure I kept out of trouble.
We picked McKintosh today, wonderfully tasty.
We had a great day ... well morning.

The Orchard was fun, I got to hang out with my friend Emerson and we watched our mom's quality control some donuts. Sadly mom got bit by something and Sloan ended up scrapping his leg really well. But all told, a great time.

Exciting biking

An exciting time was had this morning as we biked up the driveway to school the chain broke on mom's bike. Well, at least it broke as we got to school, I am fairly sure that there would have been some bad words said if it had broken earlier on the trip.

Well, I had a great day at school! We continued our week of "A's", there were apples and an apple tree and well...you get the idea.

Well, since Sloan was at school its up to me to continue the story. Luckily mom's friend was able to come pick us up and help us out till one of dad's friends (with a much bigger car) could get the bike back home. That is the problem with having the xtracycle added on - its too big for the normal car. Well, off to go to sleep.

Today is brought to you by the letter...

A
A is for Accordian
...and lots of other stuff which isn't nearly as cool because I didn't bring it to school... Ooh a muffin!

When teething rings aren't enough...

I've found that sometimes when my teeth REALLY hurt that I don't enjoy the teething rings. So I've been looking for other things to chew on... books, my front carrying pack, dad's fingers. Then I found the best thing...
Anu! (as dad says, "it makes my mouth feel all fuzzy!). She will lay down near me so I crawl over and grab on. She doesn't seem to mind... I don't know why my parents do.

Roar!

Well, mom had to be convinced to bike this morning. She actually contemplated using the car. I set her straight, if you let your adults slack its just work work work.

Its been a fun week of dinosaurs at school.
There was making a dino in an egg and making a picture of dinosaurs. Then we decorated hats with dinosaurs and today we made a dinosaur skeleton - the WHOLE class together and then there was singing and ...

Bones, bones, dinosaur bones..

La la la de daa bones...

Okay, one knee before the other.

Crawling, crawling... whoo hoo, I think I've got it now!
It is such a wonderful feeling being able to crawl.
Now if only I can... get... my... legs up... almost standing...
oops... guess I'll stick with crawling for now.

Darn Squirrels!-an excerpt from Mom

Well biking Sloan to school on Tuesday I had a revelation.
Squirrels are suicidal!
I would say stupid - but that would indicate that they were just too silly to realize they should get out of a bikers way. Instead these ones kept running in the way of the bike.
The only issue is that while a car can take out a squirrel, I fear the squirrel -if hit by the bike- will take out the bike!

Okay, back to the kids.

School!

Well the first day of the school year is here!
So Mom and Evie and I biked down -gosh I forgot how bumpy that road is!
But so much fun seeing my favorite teachers again and lots of the kids from last years class were there again and I got to play dinosaurs and super heroes and went outside and ...well we had lots of fun!

Hm, Sloan certainly was excited about school. It looked pretty interesting, and I got to see another baby like myself (only 9 months) I remember meeting her shortly after I was born. Emmy is the sister of a friend of Sloan's and it sure was nice to see her after so long.

After mom and I dropped Sloan off, we biked over to see a friend of moms. That was fun, I got to watch transformers and meet Zach. Then it was back to pick him up and the bike started having issues... well I had a good trip, though I think mom needed a nap by the time we got home. Oops, off to get lost under the couch

Its all about balance!

Ah, sometimes its important to make sure that dad keeps up on his training. So Evie and I took it upon ourselves to make sure he keeps in shape. With some attacking and wrestling, maybe some airplanes?...

Fun with Dad and mom

So we went down to arts, beats and eats with Daddy. (He's been working alot and its important to get him out of the house any chance I can get). So since Arts, Beats and Eats was in town, I took him down to that. We had a good time listening to music and running around in circles and then we saw some art (and I ran around in circles) ... Okay truly I was just interested in the balloons and well, running around. Anyway you get the idea. It was lots of fun!

So since Sloan agreed to take care of Daddy, it was up to me to take care of Mommy. I went with her down to Ypsilanti for a baby shower for a friend of ours. I got to have a good time hanging out with some of mommy's friends and my friend Elinor and I had a great time. Its been a while since we'd seen each other so we caught up on the babble and switched toys... it was fun.

Dinos dinos where are the dinos?

Well, I've taken mom to the zoo a few times the last week - well the dinosaur exhibit was getting ready to leave and I had to show them off to folks and (of course) roar a bunch!

In fact, mom was laughing at me cause I started going up to folks and introducing them to the dinosaurs. Of course I also had to point out the different types of roars of each dino.

Dinosaurs.. roar! ROAR! hee hee

Fluffy Anu! Doomed Anu

Exciting morning. Laying in bed with mommy I used the covers to pull myself to a sitting position and then this white fluffy thing wondered by (mommy called it anu-whatever that means) and I reached out and touched her. That fur stuff is really nice to touch. I tried to grab it, but the anu was too fast for me (still just don't have that much control I guess).

Mommy was sad that she couldn't get a photo of us (anu and I) looking at each other.

Of to get myself wedged under the couch (again).

Breakfast!

I got to help make chocolate pancakes today! And I was a wonderful help (honest mommy said so).
I got to add the chocolate chips, and stir and even put the batter on the griddle. Then I added the chocolate syrup when they were done. I even did some really cool designs with the batter. Not just boring old circles.
